Familiar Faces in the Jack and Jill Winner’s List

The 2014 Jack and Jill Tournament, played at Shadow Hills Country Club on April 27th,  found some familiar names on top of the leader board.

Perennial Senior favorites, Rob and Tricia Johnson were winners of the Low Gross, with Garry and Debbie Cleverly and Mike and Linda Fox tied for first, for the Senior Low Net Title.

The Regular Winners (some seniors may take offense at not being considered “regular”…we’ll talk to Gary about this) included the Low Gross title going to Jason and Brie Stone. Low Net went to JP Mischkot and Sarah Myrick.

As always, loads of fun, great competition, and reasonably seasonal weather made the event a perfect way to kick off the Golf Season at Shadow Hills Country Club.

Senior Men’s Golf Association – Still Room to Sign Up for 50+ Golfers

The Senior’s Men’s Golf Association is exclusively for Shadow Hills Men 50 or older (or born anytime before December 31, 1964) and is in full swing!

We currently have 40 annual members dreaming they are on the PGA tour and competing for prize money and tour points just like the PGA pros except our prize money is considerably less and our events are much more relaxing!   It’s not to late to join the Senior Men’s group!

We just finished two minor events in April and each were worth 4,000 points.  We have four events scheduled in May with minor events at Shadow Hills on May 2, at Emerald Valley on May 9 and at Illahe on May 30.

Our first mid-major (worth double points) is scheduled for May 23 at Shadow Hills.  This summer we will have three majors with each event worth 12,000 points and the championship tour finals and dinner at Shadow Hills on September 12 is worth 16,000 points so the bulk of the points will be earned in the 13-15 remaining events worth a combined total 92,000 points.

The annual fee to join the group has been reduced and prorated to $90 for the season or players can drop in for $10 per event but only the annual members can earn SHSM tour points.  It’s a great way to meet and golf with our in our club.  Contact the golf shop to sign up or contact Steve Mason for more details.
