The Holiday luncheon was Wednesday, December 2nd and was a huge success, with more than 120 in attendance!

The event included wine tasting, holiday cocktail samples, entertainment, and amazing food from Chef Diana!

The festivities included a quilt raffle (compliments of our own SHCC Quilters!), Hearts for Hospice shop and the annual wine bag grab (lots was grabbed).

All proceeds support this year’s charity Kid’s FIRST.

An amazing time was had by all. As the “Entertainment,” Patric Miller led the room in several renditions of “Golf Themed” Christmas Carols.  Several requests to reprint those lyrics have been made. You will find them by scrolling to the bottom of the page!

Explanations and Disclaimers

1st Day: A Big Bag Full of Golf Tees
This is the kind of thing that non-golfers or last minute shoppers get for golfers. They don’t realize we get free tees at Shadow Hills. Meh!

2^nd Day: 2 Colored Socks
We all know how you like to match colored socks to the rest of your ensemble. But a warning to husbands and significant others…don’t buy these online, as the color and size rarely match the description.

3^rd Day: 3 New Woods
Really??? NICE! Who wouldn’t want three new woods? Especially after the first two crappy gifts.

4^th Day: 4 Early Tee Times
We all know what that means at SHCC. A nice 9:30 or 10AM tee time, when you aren’t clumped in with a bunch of men intent on playing fast so they can go have breakfast, or stuck behind a lot of slower players in the afternoon.

5^th Day:  Five Lessons Free!
And these are NOT from your spousal unit or significant  others, as we know that more relationships have been tested to the limits by one trying to “help improve” the other…especially when “the one” is a high-handicapper himself! These are with a real golf professional!

6^th Day: Six Geese a Layin’
This one is dedicated to the Audubon Certification at SHCC. We love our geese. Mostly.

7^th Day: Stretching Session
A session with Nick produces results on the course that increase stamina, strength and flexibility. ‘Nuf Said.

8^th Day: Eight Summer Golf Shirts
This allows a full rotation of colors and styles without repeating each week. You never where the same thing on Tuesday this way!

9^th Day: Nine Lady’s Lunches
This is where the real action happens. Men not allowed. If we were there, there would be nothing for them to talk about. Right?

10^th Day – 10 Special Foot Rubs
These are Special…because your spousal unit or significant other will give you a “no strings” foot rub. Just the feet. Get it?

11th Day- Eleven Quilter Quilting
This is just a shout out to the Quilters…who always come through with an amazing quilt to donate to any worthy cause!

12^th Day – 12 Dozen Pro Vs
At first, this seems like a bad gift. But, let’s remember that a dozen Pro V1s goes for about $40 a dozen.  So…a DOZEN/Dozen would be about $480 worth of golf balls…that you could sell on EBay, to get the money for you to buy whatever you REALLY wanted for Christmas!
