Pro Shop Deals Continue for Christmas Gifts an Winter Golf!
While we held one of the most successful Holiday Pro Shop Sales in our history last weekend, the GREAT DEALS CONTINUE at the Pro Shop!  We still have loads of clothes, accessories, clubs, bags and more, that are perfect for Christmas gifts for loved ones (or yourself).

We have stocked up on a great selection of winter golf boots and outerwear, that will make playing through the winter more comfortable.  A mild winter has been forecasted for this year, but no matter what the forecast brings, the grounds staff has got the course at top condition for “year-round golf.”

Holiday Sale SATURDAY and SUNDAY!
It’s the sale that has grown too big for just a single day!  The Pro Shop Holiday Sale will be held December 5th-6th – 10a-4p both days
.  We have stocked up on special items for this sale, along with huge discounts on almost everything in the shop! 

  • Vendors will be at the sale, from Adidas, Puma, Bag Boy, Wallaroo Hats and more.
  • Wine sale, order direct and pay 15% over wholesale. 
  • Raffle items include 4-somes, wine baskets & Holiday baskets, lessons and more.  Raffle benefits the employee fund.

Holiday Bonus Fund for Employees
With the COVID services restrictions, and so many facing reduced hours or layoffs, many of our employees are counting on a “Christmas Surprise” this year! 
It is that time of year where we ask for support in saying Thank You to our staff by contributing to our Employee Holiday Gift Program. The money contributed is shared by all employees: Greens, Kitchen, Pro Shop, Service and Office staff. The General Manager, Golf Professional and Greens Superintendent do not receive a portion of this holiday gift program. Your contribution shows appreciation for the many services rendered by all our employees during the past year. We hope you will participate in this voluntary contribution.

New Policy for Extended Food Service Closures and Food Related Dues and Charges

 

Due to extended limitations for food services, passed down by the State of Oregon, the Staff and Board of Directors have made the following decisions regarding operations for the rest of the year.
FOOD SERVICE

  • All regular dining, including the dining room, lounge, and outdoor seating will be closed until sometime after the first of the year.
  • A limited Take-Out Menu (see below) will be offered Tuesday- Sunday, 10a -4p.

Dues and Food Minimum Reductions

Beginning December 1st

  • The Club will not charge dues for Social Memberships
  • The Club will suspend all Food Minimums while restaurant is closed
  • All golf memberships (including Sport Social Memberships) will be charged regular monthly dues

Golf and Practice Facilities will remain open, along with the Pro Shop.  Masks to be worn in the building, and safe social distancing is required.

We appreciate your support and assistance during this time. We wish you and your family a Happy Holiday Season!

Delays- Cancellations- Restrictions
Under the current Covid restrictions, we are forced to implement the following delays, cancellations and restrictions.
Club House and Pro Shop Access

  • Masks must be worn in all locations in the club house, pro shop, locker rooms and office areas.
  • The Fitness Center shall be closed for any use during this 2-week period.
  • All social activities and indoor gatherings are suspended (Cards, Games, etc.)
  • Annual Holiday Pro Shop Sale, scheduled for Friday, November 20th is Postponed
  • Holiday Decorating Scheduled for November 22nd has been Postponed

Golf Course and Practice Facility

  • The Golf Course will remain OPEN – social distancing and masks at club staging area is suggested
  • The Ranges on the Practice Facility will remain open
  • Masks to be worn by both teacher and student for individual golf lessons

The Staff and Board of directors are dedicated to keeping our members and staff safe during this challenging time. Your cooperation and understanding is very much appreciated.  All State regulations for Case and Contact Reporting will be followed as per County and State medical regulations.

Due to weather, and a light sign up, the Mulli-Mudder Women’s Golf event has been cancelled.
The Wine Tasting Event scheduled for the 18th has also been cancelled due to safety concerns by vendors.

NEW EARLIER TIME FOR LUAU – PLEASE NOTE CHANGES

Due to time restrictions, the Luau Crazy 8 will start at 5:15 this year.
Social distancing, and masks required (see below). 

  • To adhere to social distancing guidelines, we will be serving food and drink on the golf course.
  • There will be no dancing/gathering after dinner is served.
  • Winners will be announced on ForeTees and ShadowHillsExtra.com
  • All winnings will be applied to credits in the golf shop.

New Mask Protocol for Tournaments, Clubhouse (and Crazy 8s)
The rules below are designed to meet the State of Oregon social distancing requirements

  • Golfers and tournament coordinators must wear a face covering in and around the clubhouse
  • Golfers and tournament coordinators must wear a face covering while in the cart staging area
  • Golfers and tournament coordinators must wear a face covering when in the buffet line
  • Golfers are allowed to remove their face covering while on the practice facility and golf course.
  • Golfers and tournament coordinators are allowed to remove their face covering when seated to eat or drink
  • REMINDER- Face Coverings are REQUIRED in the club house, pro shop, lounge, and locker rooms.

Thank you for your understanding and helping Shadow Hills to remain in compliance with the State of Oregon social distancing requirements, and our facility open for our members!

Sand and Seed Party has been Cancelled

Due to continued concerns about large group gatherings with current COVID restriction, we will need to cancel the Scheduled Sand and Seed Party.  While social distancing on the course would be possible, the Bar-B-Cue following would be difficult to manage.  We will reschedule for later date.

Phone Service Update
The switchover to the new phone carrier and new phone system is taking longer than expected. It is reported that we won’t be fully over to our new provider until July 9th.  So, please be patient with the temporary setup we are forced to use until then.


DINING ROOM SPECIALS
 Holiday Notice and Soup Info

  • The Dining Room will be Closed for Dinner on the 4th of July, and the lounge will be closing at 4pm.
  • Due to our continued short staffing in the kitchen, due to reduced serving capacity, we will not be serving soup for the foreseeable future. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope that expanded services can begin next month.
  • ..ALL DINING, including the lounge requires a reservation.
