After days of unrelenting rain, the weather broke open into a gorgeous Fall day, with blue skies, moderate temperatures and some low scores, due to soft, receptive greens.
A record turnout showed up for the final “game of the day,” with Pride, Pro Shop Credit, and Thanksgiving Turkeys on the line.
In the end, a super low 63 for Gross, and a 4-way tie for Net at 55, ended up being the deciding factor for victory.
And when it came to a “KP for a Turkey,” one player hit a bullseye with a HOLE IN ONE, that kept any other contenders from “claiming fowl” on Hole #4. Great job, Scott Hoffine!

Another great year of Men’s League competition finished up on Tuesday, August 2nd. The two winning teams proved how tight the race became over the last weeks of league play, with the lead shifting several times.
In the end, the A team of Pruitt, Brist, Martin, Holloway, Bars and Mitchell won by a single point.
The B League champs of Green, Hanavan, Hanley, Deleplain, Laidlaw and Miller won by a margin of 1.5 points, holding onto the top spot after climbing back out of third place.
As always, the camaraderie and friendly competition were the ultimate rewards for the 24 teams who competed this year!
