Reminder – Easter Brunch Event Altered
Due to continued Covid Restrictions, and some changes in Kitchen staffing, the original Easter Brunch has been altered. Instead of our usual large buffet offering, we will be serving Breakfast in the lounge (by reservation only) from 6:30am-2pm.
We will have an Easter egg hunt at 2:30. The hunt is for ages 2 to 12 and we will divide into 3 age groups.
Temporary Dining and Lounge Hours Remain in Place
Due to temporary changes to our F & B service from staffing issues in the kitchen, we are going back to breakfast on Saturday and Sunday only, and dinner service on Friday and Saturday only. We will we open in the lounge until 8 on Thursday and 7 on Sundays with the lounge menu. We hope to return to our new schedule soon.

We are moving the weekly News You Need to Know to Wednesdays, starting today! With the re-opening of the dining room and expanding our Dinner Service to Thursdays, we needed to get the news out a day earlier each week! The golf season is starting, the Social and Golf Calendars are posted (see them linked here) and we are ready for great year of (almost) back to normal!
Dues Increase Break Down
In a letter from our President, Ken Martin, a small dues increase was announced by email today. Averaging just $6-$10 per month, we are long overdue, if we want to continue to provide the kind of amenities and service you have come to expect at Shadow Hills CC.
The dues increases are as follows: Family Memberships increased $10.00, Individual Memberships increased $6.00 and Social Membership increased $6.00

The SHCC 50 and Under Tip Off Happy Hour Event is Scheduled for Sunday, March 28th! With so many new younger members, with families, this is a great way to have fun, get to know one another and start the Social and Golf Season off right!

The gossip about “juice in the lounge” is true! We are now offering fresh juices in the lounge & breakfast. (orange & grapefruit) Plus we are using fresh lemon juice for lemonade and fresh lime juice for cocktails (margaritas)

Valentines Dinner Rescheduled – TAKE OUT MENU OFFERED
Unfortunately, love may be in the air, but so are the continued Covid Restrictions by the State/County. As of today, Lane County continues to be in the Extreme Risk Category through February 25th (at least). This forces us to make changes to our plans for Valentine’s Day and our dinner options.
We will be offering some take out specials on Saturday and Sunday (see menu below)6 PLEASE ORDER IN ADVANCE BY CALLING THE LOUNGE as we have LIMITED QUANTITIES.
We are rescheduling our in-person valentines day dinner for March 13th. If you have already made reservations, Caitie will be sending you an email about your reservation, and what to do if you no longer wish to attend. This continues to be a challenging time for all of us- Special Thanks to our Kitchen Crew for being creative!
Workout Facility Open with Restrictions
We are pleased to announce that we are able to open our workout facility once again. But due to continued Covid protocol, the following restrictions are still in place.
- Open, but Limited to a maximum of 2 people at a time
- First come first served
- Please wipe down all equipment when you are finished.
- Will not be monitored by staff, so it is up to the membership to make sure they are following the rules!

Golf Facility and Pro Shop Will be Open New Years Day.
Take Out Food Service Hours Changed
With inclement weather, as well as ongoing Covid restrictions limiting us to TAKE -OUT Food and Beverage Service, we have decided to reduce our service hours/days to WEDNESDAY- SUNDAY, 10a-4p. These days/times will remain in effect until we are able to open the dining room/lounge once again. We apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate your understanding. The entire SHCC Staff is elated that 2020 is over, and 2021 begins with the promise of slowly, but surely getting “back to normal!” Here’s hoping to a prosperous and happy new year!

Holiday Closures and Hours
The club will be locking the gates on Thursday, Christmas Eve at 2pm. All golf rounds must be completed, carts “in the barn” and clubs stowed by that time. All of the SHCC Facility and Services will be closed for Christmas on Friday, December 25th.
Take Out Food Service Returns
After rapid testing of our server and kitchen staff, we are pleased to report no further positive Covid cases. However, as per current Oregon State Restrictions, we are still limiting all food and beverage service to “take out only.” (See Menu Below)
Pro Shop Deals Continue for Christmas Gifts an Winter Golf!
While we held one of the most successful Holiday Pro Shop Sales in our history last weekend, the GREAT DEALS CONTINUE at the Pro Shop! We still have loads of clothes, accessories, clubs, bags and more, that are perfect for Christmas gifts for loved ones (or yourself).
We have stocked up on a great selection of winter golf boots and outerwear, that will make playing through the winter more comfortable. A mild winter has been forecasted for this year, but no matter what the forecast brings, the grounds staff has got the course at top condition for “year-round golf.”

It’s the sale that has grown too big for just a single day! The Pro Shop Holiday Sale will be held December 5th-6th – 10a-4p both days. We have stocked up on special items for this sale, along with huge discounts on almost everything in the shop!
- Vendors will be at the sale, from Adidas, Puma, Bag Boy, Wallaroo Hats and more.
- Wine sale, order direct and pay 15% over wholesale.
- Raffle items include 4-somes, wine baskets & Holiday baskets, lessons and more. Raffle benefits the employee fund.

Holiday Bonus Fund for Employees
With the COVID services restrictions, and so many facing reduced hours or layoffs, many of our employees are counting on a “Christmas Surprise” this year! It is that time of year where we ask for support in saying Thank You to our staff by contributing to our Employee Holiday Gift Program. The money contributed is shared by all employees: Greens, Kitchen, Pro Shop, Service and Office staff. The General Manager, Golf Professional and Greens Superintendent do not receive a portion of this holiday gift program. Your contribution shows appreciation for the many services rendered by all our employees during the past year. We hope you will participate in this voluntary contribution.

New Policy for Extended Food Service Closures and Food Related Dues and Charges
Due to extended limitations for food services, passed down by the State of Oregon, the Staff and Board of Directors have made the following decisions regarding operations for the rest of the year.
FOOD SERVICE
- All regular dining, including the dining room, lounge, and outdoor seating will be closed until sometime after the first of the year.
- A limited Take-Out Menu (see below) will be offered Tuesday- Sunday, 10a -4p.
Dues and Food Minimum Reductions
Beginning December 1st
- The Club will not charge dues for Social Memberships
- The Club will suspend all Food Minimums while restaurant is closed
- All golf memberships (including Sport Social Memberships) will be charged regular monthly dues
Golf and Practice Facilities will remain open, along with the Pro Shop. Masks to be worn in the building, and safe social distancing is required.
We appreciate your support and assistance during this time. We wish you and your family a Happy Holiday Season!
